We are all connected

The last week has been filled with a terrible sadness , a young 21 year old irish boy went to Poland to follow his team .

He didn’t come back .

He drowned accidentally on a night out in a small town in Poland .

The poor boy is all I’ve been able to think about all week and I don’t know him or his family !

I keep thinking of the last words his mum said to him as he left on this adventure .
I’m thinking about his friends who were with him up to a few minutes before the accident and how awful it is for them . How perhaps they all wish they done something differently !

And yet no matter what any of us do , say , worry about these tragic accidents happen .

It once again reminds us to cherish today because it’s all we have !!

Robbie keane is the captain of the irish team . He plays football in the US and yesterday showed this t shirt after scoring .

His simple gesture reminded me of the solidarity there is in this small country .

How even he is feeling the sadness of this tragedy .

And yet the newspapers have also reminded me of the kindness of the people in that small polish town who all week have been laying candles and flowers at the river where James drowned .

We are all connected . We can feel the pain of this boys family and friends and stand together .

“No life is a waste,” the Blue Man said. “The only time we waste is the time we spend thinking we’re alone.”
― Mitch Albom

All of us are connected !
